VanDusen Family Programs are 90 minute guided programs where you and your children (ages 5-11, siblings welcome) can join us for fun and educational activities that can include experiments, citizen science, arts and crafts, and of course, exploring the Garden. Each program has a different theme. This is a great opportunity for the young and young at heart to learn about the wonderful world of plants, and more!

Discovery Station: Microgreens
Sunday, April 17, 2016
10:30 am – 3:30 pm
Drop by our Discovery Station beside the Garden entrance anytime on April 17th! These are delicate, young plants that are harvested and eaten while they are tiny and tasty. Often used by chefs in the finest restaurants, you will learn the tricks to growing and eating these healthy little bursts of flavor at home. Sample some of these tiny delights and make a “microgreen monster” to plant and take home.
This activity is free for members or with garden admission, however donations are gratefully accepted.
