    Medicine Wheel Ceremony

    Time: 12 - 3 p.m.

    The Medicine Wheel is a symbol of holistic teachings based on the cycles of nature. People from varying backgrounds and spiritual traditions are invited to gather to celebrate the beginning of a new season in a beautiful outdoors setting at VanDusen Garden. 

    Drumming, singing, and prayers will be share. The ceremony concludes with a pot-luck (a sharing of food).

    What to bring:

    • Clothing and gear appropriate for the weather (i.e. warm clothes, cool clothes, rain clothes, visor, hat, etc.).
    • Bring something to sit on as the ceremony is held outdoors and lasts 3 hours.
    • A potluck item to share at the end of the cermony as ell as your own dishes and cutlery.
    • A small stone or more to infuse prayers into and to leave at the wheel.

    Regular garden admission is charged for those participating in the ceremony.
