    Wine in the Garden

    VanDusen Botanical Garden will welcome Summerland's Bottleneck Drive wineries with more than 75 wines to taste, alongside food pairings from Truffles Fine Foods in the BMO Great Hall surrounded by the calm, green, and floral beauty of the garden. Guests will enjoy live music from the Okanagan’s Ari Neufeld while sipping wine and bidding on fabulous “All things Summerland” silent auction items. Proceeds to VanDusen Botanical Garden’s Education Program. Must be 19+ to attend. Follow us @WineInGarden

    Medicine Wheel Ceremony

    Time: 12 - 3 p.m.

    The Medicine Wheel is a symbol of holistic teachings based on the cycles of nature. People from varying backgrounds and spiritual traditions are invited to gather to celebrate the beginning of a new season in a beautiful outdoors setting at VanDusen Garden. 

    Drumming, singing, and prayers will be share. The ceremony concludes with a pot-luck (a sharing of food).

    What to bring:

    • Clothing and gear appropriate for the weather (i.e. warm clothes, cool clothes, rain clothes, visor, hat, etc.).
    • Bring something to sit on as the ceremony is held outdoors and lasts 3 hours.
    • A potluck item to share at the end of the cermony as ell as your own dishes and cutlery.
    • A small stone or more to infuse prayers into and to leave at the wheel.

    Regular garden admission is charged for those participating in the ceremony.
