Running from March 17 – 28 our carefully crafted Spring Break day camps are a blend of science, exploration, games and crafts and give children the opportunity to learn and play in the beauty of VanDusen Botanical Garden!

Join multiple award-winning professional wildlife photographer Liron Gertsman as he shares stories and images from his favourite moments photographing birds. The presentation will include a mix of visual storytelling, science, and discussions about the creative process that Liron uses to create unique and eye-catching photos of birds.

You may have seen him on CBC’s “The National”, heard his voice on CBC Radio One, or seen his work in publications such Canadian Geographic magazine, Audubon Magazine, The Guardian, and GEO magazine.

Bird Identification Workshop (Online)

This 5-session series presented by the Vancouver Avian Research Centre (VARC) is perfect for beginner and intermediate birders eager to deepen their knowledge and identification abilities. Through engaging and interactive sessions, participants will explore avian evolution, behaviour, migration, and advanced identification techniques, including tackling challenging groups like shorebirds, raptors, and gulls.
