Spring Affair 2022 – [Horti] Culture in a Changing Climate

2022-03-27

The weather we experienced in the past 12 months –flooding, heat domes, wild winds, and ice storms – can leave no doubt that our climate is changing. What can we, as gardeners, do about it?

At this year’s virtual Spring Affair, MGABC speakers will show you how to build a rain garden, how you can use your garden to shield your home from wildfire damage, and how you can help build the world’s first global database of trees.

Looking beyond our own patch, we will learn how urban planners are incorporating more green space into urban environments including coast Salish plant gardens, about a massive initiative of the RHS to mobilize Britain’s 30+ million gardeners, and we will take a trip to the mountains of northern Vietnam to discover new species of plants.

Join the Vancouver Master Gardeners via Zoom on March 27th to learn what you can do to make a difference. Unable to attend? View it online during a 4 week period after the event.

Tickets: Early Bird $45 – $50 after March 15th
