Details

Must be an active member – just bring your valid membership card to participate in Member Appreciation activities.

Limit one free guest per member per day for “Bring a Friend for Free Day.”

Bring a Friend Promotion – 10% off New Memberships: member’s guest must purchase their membership on site at either VanDusen or Bloedel on the day of their visit (June 27 or 28).

Those with a premium membership are permitted to bring their daily guest on their membership, plus one free friend

Activities are subject to weather and may cancel without notice.

Q. When are Member Appreciation Days?
A. The first set of Member Appreciation Days will be on Friday, June 27 & Saturday, June 28.

Q. Will you be hosting more Member Appreciation Days in the future?
A. We don’t have a set schedule on when these appreciation days will take place, but we hope to host more of these member appreciation events in the future. If you have any feedback on your experience, we’d love to hear from you.

Q. What activities are part of the Member Appreciation Days?
A. There are a few different activities and highlights. Only the Nature walks require pre-registration.

Bring a Friend for Free Days – June 27 & 28
Bring a Friend PROMOTION – 10% off (Member’s guest gets 10% off an annual membership when they purchase on site at VanDusen or Bloedel during Bring a Friend for Free Days)
Family Nature Walks – June 27 & 28 @ VanDusen Plaza (Pre-registration required, 10:30 am and 12:30 pm each day – links on hyperlinked page above)
Complimentary Member Coffee & Treats – Friday, June 27 @ VanDusen Discovery Room
Member Photo Day – Sat, June 28 @ VanDusen 11am to 1pm

Q. How many guests can I bring during the Bring A Friend for Free Days?
A. Each member can bring one guest, to each site (VanDusen and Bloedel), on each day
I.e. a member can visit VanDusen and Bloedel with one guest on the 27th and come back on the 28th with another guest.

Q. I have a premium membership, do I get to bring an extra guest during Bring a Friend for Free Days?
A. Yes, as you are already permitted to bring a guest on your premium membership any day, during the Bring A Friend Days, you can bring a second guest to both sites.

Q. How do I sign up for a Nature Walk Tour?
A. You can register for a Nature Walk Tour by visiting vandusengarden.org/register. Participation is free, but spots are limited—only 20 per session, with a total of four sessions available.
To register, you’ll need to create an Amilia account. Step-by-step instructions are available on the registration page. If you need help with the process, our Garden Ambassadors in the Discovery Room are happy to assist you.

Q. I want to go to this event but will not be around that weekend, can I bring a friend on a different day?
