  • +Membership Terms and Conditions

    Membership Terms

    • When you purchase a membership, you become a designated pass holder and member of the Vancouver Botanical Gardens Association (VBGA). VBGA and Vancouver Park Board are joint operating partners of Vancouver Botanical Garden and Bloedel Conservatory.
    • You will be asked to provide valid picture ID (e.g., BC Driver’s License, BCID, BC Services Card, passport) to purchase a membership.
    • Each member becomes a designated pass holder and will receive a membership card that contains a barcode with a unique pass number. Members gain entry to the Garden and Conservatory by scanning the barcode on their valid membership card. If a member forgets their membership card, they can gain entry to the Garden and Conservatory by visiting the Membership or Admissions Desk and a service associate will manually validate a member’s identity and membership with photo on file and/or valid ID.
    • When a membership is purchased, a photo is taken of each member (designated pass holder) and saved to their personal membership account, which is stored on the Vancouver Park Board recreation (ActiveNet) system; this allows for validation of identity and active membership each time the membership card is scanned for entry into the Garden and Conservatory. If the membership is purchased online or over the phone, a photo will be taken when the member visits the Garden to pick up their new membership card.

    Conditions of Sale

    • All memberships are nontransferable, nonrefundable, and cannot be placed on hold during the membership term.
    • You may upgrade your membership to a higher-value membership within 30 days of the purchase date.

    Auto-renewal

    • When you purchase or renew online, you may choose the auto-renewal option for your membership at the time of purchase or at any time during the membership, which means your credit card on file will be automatically charged on your expiry date and your membership will be renewed for the same membership type and length as the original purchase. We will send you two reminder emails (if an email address is provided, if no email, we will send letter mail) during the month of expiry, prior to the auto-renewal.
    • Once the membership is auto-renewed, it is nonrefundable.
    • You may turn off auto-renewal at any time by logging in to your Vancouver Park Board recreation account, and going to My Account > Payment and Order Management > Change Auto-Charge Payments
