Our highly anticipated dining experience returns! In partnership with Shaughnessy Restaurant, join us for an exclusive 5-course tasting menu crafted by Executive Chef Pavlo Onopriienko.

  • 5-Course Tasting Menu: $140.00 (Available in Regular, Vegetarian, or Vegan) 
  • Optional 5-Course Wine Pairing Add-on: $55.00 (Pre-purchase with your ticket)

Dining with a Purpose: Save Our Trees

As our climate changes, the trees planted at VanDusen 50 years ago are facing a reality they were never meant to endure. Summers are drier, heat waves are more severe, and our oldest, most beloved trees are showing the strain. 

All proceeds from this event directly support the Climate Adaptation Fund

This bold initiative is our roadmap to protecting the Gardens from climate change, with a goal to invest $1 million by 2030. Your ticket provides the critical resources our team of botanists and gardeners need to monitor, treat, and protect mature trees under stress, while planting resilient new species selected for the climate of tomorrow. 

By joining us for this special evening, you are actively helping to keep VanDusen better equipped through a period of unprecedented climate change. 

A stroll before dinner

Arrive early and explore the Herb, Fragrance, Mediterranean, Japanese, and Heritage Rose Gardens—the exact collections that inspired the evening’s menu. It’s a great chance to see where your food comes from, and spot the specific plants and trees your attendance directly helps protect. Pick up or scan a custom map in the Discovery Room on the day of the event! 

Following the tour, join us at Shaughnessy Restaurant at 5:30 pm to enjoy the 5-course tasting menu.
