VanDusen Botanical Garden has many trees available for adoption. The VBGA’s Adopt-a-Tree program provides an opportunity for you to form a personal relationship with a tree that has a special meaning for you in the Garden. Trees may be adopted to remember a loved one or celebrate a significant event. With a donation of $3,000, you can adopt a tree for 10 years.

A donation of publicly traded securities (stocks, mutual funds, and bonds) can be one of the best ways to give to the VBGA. When you donate securities directly to us, you can eliminate the capital gains tax and you can give more! Not only do we put to use the full value of your gift but we will also issue you a tax receipt for the full market value of the securities.

This is a great way to give more to your favourite charity without increasing the real cost of your giving.

Before making a donation of securities, we recommend you contact us and your financial advisor to discuss your specific situation. VBGA requires a completed Authority to Transfer letter sign by you. This document will be used to inform VBGA’s financial advisors, CIBC Wood Gundy, of the transfer.
