
50th Anniversary Lecture Series
Since 1975, VanDusen Botanical Garden has been a place of wonder, learning, and growth. To mark this golden occasion, we are thrilled to present a special anniversary speaker series featuring thought leaders in horticulture, conservation, and biodiversity.
Featuring presentations by Monique Gray Smith, Suzanne Simard, Brian Minter, Egan Davis as well as a evening with VanDusen’s expert staff and volunteers, join us as we celebrate the past and look forward to the future!

Caring for Rhododendrons: A Beginner’s Guide
Expert Thomson Ip will lead this event to explore rhododendrons’ history, cultural significance, and care. You will learn to identify local and international varieties, discover best practices for planting and maintenance, and enjoy a 30-minute guided garden tour to see the rhododendrons at their peak.
This program is perfect for novice gardeners and plant enthusiasts alike.

Summer Camps at VanDusen
Running from June 30 – August 22 our carefully crafted week long Summer Camps are a blend of science, exploration, games and crafts and give children the opportunity to learn and play in the beauty of VanDusen Botanical Garden!
Days are spent almost entirely outdoors. Suitable for children age 5 – 10.
