Harvest Days

Harvest Days brings the best of the fall season to VanDusen Botanical Garden on weekends from September 26 to October 18, plus Thanksgiving Monday (October 12).

Explore the Learning Garden and maze area, brought to life with autumn activities for all ages. Enjoy live music, face painting and crafts, lawn games, seasonal food and beverages, and the new Discovery Tent.

Dig In: Fall Bulbs for Spring Blooms

In this September workshop, we’ll focus on bulbs and preparing your garden for spring. Learn the differences between bulbs, tubers and corms, and discover how to grow beautiful ornamental flowers for cutting gardens.

Led by Sangeeta Thomas, Learning Garden Coordinator, these beginner-friendly, monthly sessions cover a variety of seasonal topics to help build your gardening skills. 

Autumn Equinox Medicine Wheel Ceremony

The Medicine Wheel Ceremony is a symbol of holistic teachings based on the cycles of nature. Drumming and prayers are shared at this event.
