The Home Gardening Series (Online)
Learn from Southern BC’s top horticulture professionals from the comfort of your home.
The Home Gardening Series, a collaboration between the Vancouver Botanical Gardens Association and the Vancouver Chapter of the B.C. Master Gardeners Association, offers a curated selection of gardening topics from the Master Gardener Basic Training curriculum. Designed for both beginners and experienced gardeners, this series provides current gardening knowledge without the commitment of the broader Master Gardener program.
Intro to Native Plants and Meadowscaping (Online)
Session One offers an introduction to the world of native plants. We’ll discuss our local ecology, why native species matter, and explore examples from our region.
Session Two focuses on turning lawns, boulevards, or gardens into native meadows that support birds, bees, and other urban wildlife. Kristen Miskelly will share practical advice on site preparation, planting, and long-term care to help your meadow thrive.
