Professional Development for Teachers

Looking for professional development opportunities for teachers? The VBGA is excited to announce several upcoming workshops.

With a range of topics suitable for grades K-12, our workshops provide teachers with practical skills and insights to bring back into the classroom or garden.

Beginning September 19, we’re kicking off a six-part Garden Classroom Series with master gardener and professional educator Megan Zeni.  This series is designed to build confidence and capacity in normalizing the use of your school garden as a classroom and will weave practical gardening skills with meaningful opportunities to engage students in scientific inquiry, mathematical thinking, creative storytelling – and more!
